The Bees seem to have discovered our front garden. It’s busier than Heathrow Airport in our front garden. I love seeing the Bees taking advantage of the flowers.

The skies were cloud free and the starts were shining. I couldn’t resist not bringing the camera out for a few shots of the stars and Milky Way. I must try to get out and do this more often as I really enjoyed experimenting with my 10mm-20mm wide angle lens. I painted the trees with a small LED flashlight.
All of the shots were taken at 3200 ISO, 5.6f and 20sec
We are looking at downsizing to just one car and I thought if I didn’t get a few shoots of the current IMALAIRD photography equipment carrier, I might not get another chance. I have never really tried to do an on purpose photo shoot of a car before. I have done the odd photo of car, but never really a series. I learned a few things and discovered I needed a new filter for the camera from this shoot. I have another planned photoshoot later this month that I want just right.
We spent Canada Day weekend at a beautiful cottage in Hastings County in eastern Ontario.
Very interestingly the cottage was located near the graveyard where my Great-Great-Great-Grandfather is buried. He was the first Canadian of my family line. He immigrated from the USA.
The rest of the weekend was spent with Tom and Dianne, their son and my daughter. It was the first time we had met his parents and we felt like old friends after just a few hours. Their home was lovely and the lake was amazing!
We met with some great friends from Montreal and chose Montebello as a meeting please as it was basically half way for each of us to meet up. We had a nice lunch and then walked into Manor Papineau. Our friends had never been to the Chateau Montebello before so we had a nice wee walk on the grounds and in the main lobby.
