We took our friends from Scotland up to the Wilson Carbide Ruins in Gatineau Park. It is a wonderful walk from the parking lot into the ruins and I love the waterfalls. Our friends really enjoyed their visit here.

GuessWhere Trip – Perth, Westport and Jones Falls
My wife had received a gift of a Guesswhere Trip from her former co-workers when she retired (to join the Imalaird Team full time), We decided to use it while our friends from Scotland were visiting. Not knowing where we were going until we opened the envelopes provided, we ended up travelling to Perth, Westport and Jones Falls, Ontario. A round trip of about 300kms and it took all day. It was a great day out!

Road Trip #1 – Merrickville, Brockville and Gananoque
I thought I took way more photos, but I guess I was driving. We had a super day out with a visit to the Occurrence in Merrickville. Canada’s only manufacture of Puzzles. If you are in the area, I would suggest you include this stop. We had a walk up and down the main street and a picnic at the Locks.
We then drove down to Brockville and visited the historic Train Tunnel and afterwards we had a walk along the riverfront and had Ice Cream and saw one of the Golden Arrows Aircraft.
We then drove down the 1,000 Islands Parkway and had dinner in Gananoque.

Princess Louise Falls
WOW! Where did summer go? We were busy with house renovations (actually they are still ongoing) and we finally stopped for a couple of weeks to host some very good friends and fellow photographers from Scotland.
Our first photographic stop was the Princess Louise Falls in Orleans. The weather was not super cooperative and the second crop of mosquitoes were out in full force. So it was a quick visit, but we got a couple of nice shots.
