We travelled for the first time in 18 months! We went to Scotland to visit with my Wife’s family and our daughter that now makes her home there. We rented a car for the first two weeks and had lots of adventures. I hope you enjoy the pictures, we had a great time taking them.

Retirement BBQ

After 41 years of providing loving care for countless children, my wife has closed her daycare. Some of the Families that she has worked with over the years through her a wonderful retirement BBQ.

Now it is time for her to focus on herself . Well deserved and so proud of her.

Blue Super Moon

I went out to the very far east end of Orleans to capture the Blue Super Moon rising. I used my 300mm lens with an ISO 400, Shutter speed .5 sec and F6.3. They came out pretty good, but my focus was just off by a tiny bit. I will have to wait till January 2037 for another try.. I am hoping to get the green comet in September.

Busy Bees

The Bees seem to have discovered our front garden. It’s busier than Heathrow Airport in our front garden. I love seeing the Bees taking advantage of the flowers.

Buster’s Photoshoot

Buster is a Black Lab mix that is getting on in years. His owners asked if I could try and take a few pictures of him. August seems to be the month of trying new things. The car photoshoot and now a dog photoshoot.

So who’s the good Boy, Buster or the Photographer?

Car Photo Shoot – Subaru BRZ

I offered to do a photoshoot of a brand new 2023 Subaru BRZ that is now part of our family. It’s not our new IMALAIRD Camera Carrier, but it does carry some very special cargo. The owner of the car was very please with the results of the photoshoot.

Starry Nights at Purdy Lake

The skies were cloud free and the starts were shining. I couldn’t resist not bringing the camera out for a few shots of the stars and Milky Way. I must try to get out and do this more often as I really enjoyed experimenting with my 10mm-20mm wide angle lens. I painted the trees with a small LED flashlight.

All of the shots were taken at 3200 ISO, 5.6f and 20sec

1st attempt – “IMALAIRD Camera Carrier” Photoshoot

We are looking at downsizing to just one car and I thought if I didn’t get a few shoots of the current IMALAIRD photography equipment carrier, I might not get another chance. I have never really tried to do an on purpose photo shoot of a car before. I have done the odd photo of car, but never really a series. I learned a few things and discovered I needed a new filter for the camera from this shoot. I have another planned photoshoot later this month that I want just right.

Dandelion and Negative Spaces

Found a Dandelion that was ready to spread its seeds. The season is nearly over, so I though I should take a few shots of it before they are gone for the summer. I love the used of the black background to create some negative space.
